          Milan Malcho is a Head of the Department of Power Engineering of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Zilina. Previously he was at positions of Vice-Rector for Development and Deputy Head and Secretary of the Department of Thermal and Hydraulic Machines of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Zilina. He is a member of several scientific project teams

 

Education:

             He achieved RNDr in 1974 – Comenius University in Bratislava, Faculty of Natural Sciences; PhD in 1983 from University of Transport, Slovakia; title of Assoc. Prof. in 1993, title of Professor in 2009 from the University of Žilina.

 

Research interests:

       thermodynamics, experimental methods, applied physics, low-temperature plasma, corona discharge in flowing air, energy machinery and equipment, physics, heat pipes, renewable energy, heat recovery from technological processes, heat transfer, gas flow visualization, numerical methods for solving gas flow.
